international contact part 2

Hello every one

How is every one i hope you are all good i think the most of us are having the same problem with the international contacts since no one actually is answering us its is frustrating since there could be an abandonment amount of information to gather. In addition i was not able to understand the assignment fully it was some what confusing to me but i tried my best to go in to the Harvard website and found some interesting information.

it was interesting to find that both Brazil  and Canada both share the same interest of introducing  science in to the early education field as a practice and policies for example Brazil is creating a science early education movement by training policy makers to learn how to apply developmental science in programs and polices and they are doing it through:

1- building a Brazilian scientific community around early childhood.

2- introducing the early childhood science into the Brazilian society.

3-providing leadership courses to strengthen the leadership around early childhood.

4- having a cluster of researchers, practitioners, and program developers to come together and design and test new strategies addressing childhood in Brazil and share there failure and susses.

As fro Canada they are trying to introduce the same approach but by fulfilling two key mandates :

1- supporting research in early education in brain development, emotional, mental, and health areas.

2- translating  the research for policy makers, health care communities, and the general public.

For both countries the interest was so far more scientific and to make it  work for the best of interest of children and their healthy development while educating policy makers, and the general public of its importance.  I found the information very interesting in the website though it was very hard to get the site to worked hope that it worked fro every one else.

Hello every one

Hope all is doing well this week i had some issues with this weeks second discussion assignment but it went well. For this week am sharing with you guys an invitation from the Head Start news letter i  have received as they are holding a webinar to introduce compendium of parenting intervention. This webinar aim is to help parents learn about their children, reduce family stress, the invitation states that parent intervention promotes a better learning experience, development and fro school susses  fro children especially from  birth to age five. I encourage every one to try and register fro it it is an on line enrollment as it relates to our main interest which is early childhood as i believe that parents are the most important factor in any child’s education in hope that you all will find use of it.

the second thing that i found very interesting and useful for us as education students is a tab in the head start website that address quality teaching and learning where they share information of appropriate practices another valuable information is the tab of program management and fiscal operation here the site explains practices and components that would insure the secure  financial successes of the early childhood program plus much more resources to insure the high quality of early education.

getting to know your international connection part 1

Hello every one

It has been very annoying that i heard nothing from the countries i have made a connection to so i chose to address different countries and i did in hope that they will answer me as they did to others in the group in the mean while i’am going to go with choice two and three in the assignment. I chose to talk about poverty in the middle east since my original back ground is from the middle east and i chose one pf the largest countries in population Egypt though am not from their but to me we are the same. Egypt is a highly populated country with over 72 million population were one -third of the population are children and over one fifth are living in poverty.

The more i read through about poverty issues in different countries i realized that the outcome is almost the same though the struggles might be be some what different especially when it came to children as it was my interest and affiliated to our profession. UNICEF reported that children who grow up in poverty are more likely to suffer from health problems, less education there fro effecting their skills that help support their life, additionally the report indicated that children that grow up poor are more likely to become parents to poor children.

Through my search in the UNICEF reports i found the important and most essential part in eliminating poverty is through education but unfortunately the report states that poor families in Egypt were not sending their children to schools, which in turn would cause a community of uneducated parents and since mothers are not educated then they are likely to raise children in poverty. The report additionally stated that poverty in Egypt was regional were it was more concentrated in upper and rural  Egypt than lower Egypt.  The Egypt  government is spending effort in attempting to minimize poverty through making a new ministry for family and population and local child protection committees,  introducing new social programs that promote educational, social, emotional, physical and well being of children, laws that protract children.

From reading more and more about poverty i concluded that the causes and issues related to it are very similar and it usually ends up to that poor communities are always uneducated communities there for education is the one of key element in eliminating poverty though there are other countries that suffer from other factors for poverty such as the healthy environment  were children can get the basic needs for living as safety, clean water, healthy nutrition. Unfortunately there is a lot to still to do when it comes to eliminating poverty but the bright side is that there are many individuals and organization seeking to limit this problem.

I’am interested in the Zero to three organization because it had a great mission and goal that it is holistic toward child care, the zero to three organization mission is to provide parents , professional, policy makers with the knowledge and the know how to nurture early childhood development and issuer that all children from infant to toddler have a reliable start in life. The organization attends to many issues in concern to young children and families that include mental health, langue literacy development , and the cultural impact on child development.

The Head start organization is interested in promoting school redness fro children of low income families through their local community agencies , and they support children and their families from infant to five years old with programs and education services that include mental, social, emotional, development and responsive serves to the cultural, ethnic and linguistic back ground. As i  was browsing through the zero to three cite i was interred by a topic that they discussed which was the effects of poverty on children’s school redness and their development, the issues is very serious and it effects children’s language learning ability, memory , emotional control the topic is vast and very vital for the issue of children’s school redness, i believe that these organizations are very important for our Nichiren and the fact that they are so interested in children’s needs gives me hope for a better future.

The international organization that i chose is the Association fro childhood education international which is “charitable organization, is interested in sharing new approaches to the education of children and ensuring that these approaches are delivered in ways that enhance children’s individual skills and abilities and provide opportunities for success in life.
