quote

hello every one i actually found a couple of quotes that i like:

1-” children are not things to be molded but are people to be unfolded”  JESS LAIR AUTHOR.

2- “children must be taught how to think not what to think” MARGRET MEAD CULTURAL ANTHROPOLOGISTS

as care givers some times we tend to forget that children have their own thoughts and desires and thought i believe that children must be offered the opportunity to discover and rationalize and ask as many equations as they can in order to develop some sense who they are and what they can achieve.

hello every one

I started to read about standardized testes and i was shocked as i did not go through the school system in the united states it was some what different for me growing up, i think that there are some pros and cons to the way these testes are done. I found that the test done was testing the knowledge and the future performance of the child rather than what was learned during of the school year, i do not agree with such testing methods since children abilities are different and their many children suffer from learning disabilities. In my opinion i think that the standardized testing should be done but not every year and not on the general knowledge and not without preparation, where i grow up there was no standardized test done every year end but they had final testes given by the teachers at the end of the year on each subject to measure each child knowledge retention and there would be a minimum grade of passing where students must achieve. The high school testing is the only standardized testing done in my home country and it is nationwide, students are given time to review the martial they learned all year long the exam is on the same material not about general knowledge and the grad the achieve is their college ticket.

I believe that there is mach more research to be done on the method of testing for school qualification since these tests do not include even the emotional evaluation of the child nor the environment they are learning in since they are all factors of susses, on the other hand i think the united state method of testing is my opinion in not measuring how much the student is learning during the school year rather they are measuring the general knowledge.  I believe that teachers know their students and their abilities during the school year so if they where the ones to put the monthly tests according to their students it would be better for both students and teacher, this way the teacher knows what exactly they need to focus on and which student to help there by they can modify their methods.

Education is a hard task to take on and there are many ways it could be administrated and they all work well i do not think there is one wrong or right there is one that is suitable for each situation and environment and with trial we can reach the almost perfect or correct way though i doubt because as individuals we are different and learn in different way but there is a shard way that we all learn through.
